Twitter has removed some 90 Dutch accounts which have been disseminating QAnon conspiracy theories about the American presidential elections over the last two months.

The accounts were removed following the identification of 476 trolls by data journalism platform Pointer. Twitter has confirmed the accounts have been removed.

The largest account, @DutchQPatriot, had some 5,906 followers. The total number of Dutch QAnon accounts followers is estimated at 95,000.

Supporters of the ultra right wing QAnon movement believe members of the American elite are conspiring against Donald Trump based on messages from a certain ‘Q’. They are also active on platforms such as TikTok, YouTube and Facebook.
