Dutch football international Memphis Depay is heading for Barcelona and will join Lionel Messi in the front line, the Telegraaf said on Tuesday.

The paper said new Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman, who was Dutch national coach until moving to Spain last month, was keen to bring in Depay, whom he knows well from his international career.

Barcelona and Lyon have reached a €32m deal for Depay, who will be presented to fans later this week, the paper said.

Depay, who is 26, began his career at PSV in 2011 and was taken to Manchester United by Louis van Gaal in 2015. However, he failed to make a name for himself in England and moved to Olympique Lyonnais in 2017.
