Financial services group ING is reorganising its private banking operation with the potential loss of some 60 out of 600 jobs, the Financieele Dagblad said on Friday.

The aim of the reorganisation is to boost efficiency by centralising and automating administrative work, the bank said.

At the same time, all 16 private banking branches will remain open and ING’s private banking growth ambitions remain unchanged, a spokesman told the paper.

Last week ABN Amro said it was cutting 15% to 20% of jobs at its private banking arm in Belgium.
