Weekend weather: strong winds on Friday evening, turning colder
The KNMI weather bureau has issued a code yellow weather warning for the Wadden Sea area and the coast of Noord-Holland with strong winds expected to hit during Friday evening.
Friday will remain dry in most places and the sun may break through at times, but the southerly wind will pick up later in the day and there will be storm-force gusts in coastal areas in the evening and overnight.
Saturday will remain windy and dry, with some sunny spells, and the temperature will reach 18 Celsius. On Sunday, however, the temperature will drop to no more than 12 Celsius with a strong chance of rain, although the sun may sneak through on occasion.
It will remain chilly with showers and sunny spells into next week, but overnight temperatures will drop to as low as 4 Celsius, the KNMI said.
