Strong gales on Friday night, and a wet weekend ahead
The KNMI weather bureau has issued a code yellow storm warning for the three north-western provinces on Friday evening, saying winds of up to 90kph can be expected on the coast.
The winds will died out overnight but it will remain rainy on Saturday morning with temperatures reaching no more than 13 Celsius in the north and 19 Celsius in the south. There will be some sunny spells in the afternoon.
Sunday will be much warmer, with the temperature hitting 22 Celsius in the south. However, more showers are likely, the KNMI said.
Monday will be cooler again, and it will continue to be wet and windy all week.
