Oranje will meet Portugal in Nations League final after England win
The Netherlands will play Portugal in the first Nations League final after a 3-1 win over England on Thursday night.
The Netherlands came from behind in a game which went into extra time, with goals by Mathijs de Ligt, Kyle Walker and Quincy Promes. Frenkie de Jong was named name of the match.
‘This feels good. I am glad we made the final,’ Promes, who came on as a substitute said after the game. ‘I think I was able to prove myself and we can all be proud.’
The nations league is a new competition involving the 55 countries which are members of Uefa. The final will take place on Sunday.
