Four people killed in car crash on A12

Four people have been killed in a car crash on the A12 near The Hague after their car came off the road near the Prins Claus junction and hit the supports of an overhead motorway matrix board.

It is unclear if any other vehicles were involved in the crash, which took place on Tuesday evening. Footage shows the badly damaged car on its side next to the gantry, between the crash barrier and sound wall.

Eyewitnesses say the occupants of the car were four young men, but this has not been confirmed by police.

The accident is the second involving multiple deaths in two days. Early on Monday, four young men died when their car burst into flames after hitting an overhead speed camera gantry on the A1.
