A wet and windy weekend ahead, but sun will return next week

The wet and windy weather will continue into the weekend but the sun is set to return next week, weather forecasters say.
The rain and wind will cover the country until Monday but Tuesday is likely to be dry and Wednesday will be a sunny day with blue skies and temperatures up to 12 degrees, the KNMI weather bureau says.
There may also be night frosts in sheltered places.
The KNMI long-range forecast says there is a 70% chance the warmer, sunny weather will continue into the following week.
