Winter returns on Wednesday, reduced train services and fewer flights

The KNMI weather bureau issued a code yellow weather warning for all of the Netherlands on Wednesday, saying the entire country is likely to be blanketed by a thin layer of snow.
While Tuesday evening will start off clear and cold, cloud will gather overnight, bringing snow and slippery conditions to the roads, the KNMI said.
The KNMI puts the likely snowfall at one to three centimetres but says more will fall in the south.
Weerplaza also sees just a couple of centimetres over most of the country but up to 10 centimetres in the hilly parts of Limburg.
‘Limburg is in an area of low pressure and the snow will be more intense,’ weather forecaster Diana Woei said. ‘But a lot of snow may also fall in the east of Brabant.’
KLM has scrapped several flights because of the snow and Dutch railway firm NS will be running reduced services.
Both forecasters say more snow or sleet will fall on Thursday and there will be a light frost at night. Wintry showers are likely up to the weekend, when there will be some sunny spells.
