Traffic congestion on the Dutch roads rose 13% this summer, compared with summer 2017, according to new figures from motoring organisation ANWB.

The roads in Zuid-Holland, Zeeland, Noord-Brabant and Limburg were particularly busy, due in part to the fine weather which encouraged people to go out for the day, the ANWB said.

In the first nine months of this year congestion (the length of the jam x the duration) is up 20% on 2017, the ANWB said.
