Obama to address Dutch conference on leadership, tickets nearly €1,000

Former US president Barack Obama is in the Netherlands on Friday to speak at a conference on ‘forward thinking leadership’ at the Afas concert hall in Amsterdam.

The cheapest tickets for the event, during which Obama will be interviewed by Dutch management guru Ben Tiggelaar, were €955 and are sold out, according to the Afas website.

No-one has said how much Obama will earn for his appearance in Amsterdam, but according to broadcaster NOS, he has earned up to $400,000 for some speeches.
