A man has died after a car veered off the A50 motorway in North Brabant at high speed.

The victim was a back seat passenger in the car, which ploughed through the verge and came to rest on the slip road, Omroep Brabant reported. The driver and a woman sitting in the back were injured.

Police closed the motorway at Herpen, near Oss, after the accident happened shortly after midnight on Monday while they investigated and cleared the site. The identities of the victims have not been made public.
