It’s summer: record temperatures expected later in the week
Temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday are expected to reach around 25 degrees, and the sun will be strong, so it is time to get out the sunscreen or cover up, weather bureau warn.
According to Weerplaza’s Raymond Klaassen, several records will be broken on Thursday, in Limburg in particular, where temperatures will be shooting up to 27 or 28 degrees.
But Klaasen says people should not venture out without putting on a generous amount of sun cream while children should be encouraged to put on long-sleeved shirts. ‘Unprotected skin will burn within 20 minutes,’ he told broadcaster NOS.
Friday and Saturday will still be warm but rain is expected on Monday.
