December is a top month for switching electricity supplier
Nearly 25% more consumers switched over to another energy supplier in 2017 than in the previous year, according to a report by independent comparison website Pricewise.
Pricewise said that more than 15% of the households switching over to another supplier did so in December. Most switched to Nuon, Eneco, E.ON, Oxxio, Greenchoice or Vandebron, the report said, adding they saved on average €253.
About 20% moved over to green energy. Nuon received the largest number of new customers, Pricewise said.
