This weekend’s weather is set to be wet and windy with thunderstorms and hail at times, weather forecasters said on Friday.

While there will be some sunshine in the north west on Friday, on Saturday there will be heavy showers with temperatures of around 8 degrees. It will also be windy in coastal regions.

On Sunday, there will be sunny spells and intermittent stormy showers, sometimes with lightning and hail, according to weather bureau Buienradar.

Next week it will be changeable but mainly overcast, with temperatures around 10 degrees. The KNMI’s long-range forecast is for more of the same, but with temperatures dropping towards the middle of the month.
