Dutch bankruptcy rate hits record low this century
The number of companies declared bankrupt reached the lowest level so far in this century in August, the national statistics office CBS said on Monday.
The number of companies going bankrupt in August – excluding one-man operations – reached 258. Most of the August bankruptcies (67) were in the trading sector, followed by financial services (35) and construction with 25 failures.
The bankruptcy rate has been declining steadily since the post financial crisis peak of May 2013.
