Thunderstorms set to end mini heatwave on Monday evening

The KNMI weather bureau issued a code yellow weather warning for the entire country on Monday morning, saying thunderstorms with strong winds and hail are likely in most places late afternoon or in the evening.
Some parts of the country had thunderstorms with rain in the early part of Monday morning and more will move across the country later in the day, the KNMI said.
The temperature will reach up to 33 degrees in southern parts of the country on Monday but it will be cooler – no more than 27 degrees – in coastal areas. On the Wadden Sea islands the temperature is expected to reach no higher than 20 degrees.
After Monday evening’s storms it will be dry with temperatures in their low 20s heading towards next weekend, the KNMI said.
