Summer is here and will continue into the holiday weekend
An area of high pressure over the Netherlands has brought in warm sunny weather which is set to continue until after the holiday weekend, weather forecasters said on Monday.
It will be sunny with temperatures of around 23 degrees all week but by Friday the summery weather will really set in and the temperature will rise again.
On Sunday the temperature could hit up to 29 degrees in places and the KNMI long-term forecast says this is likely to continue for a few more days at least.
Weerplaza says the weekend could be as warm as 30 degrees in the south – but warns those thinking of a cooling dip that the sea temperature is still a chilly 15 degrees.
