US private equity group KKR has acquired Q-Park, the Maastricht-based parking provider for about €2bn, the NRC reported on Wednesday.KKR emerged as winner of a five-party bidding war for Q-Park which has 870,000 parking spaces in 10 European countries. It is the largest parking garage operator in the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2016 Q-Park posted earnings of €85m on turnover of €825m. The company has a payroll of 2,500.
