Ajax beats Lyon 4-1 in Europa League semi-final first leg
A 4-1 home win against Lyon has set Amsterdam football club Ajax up well for the return leg in the Europa League semi-finals against Lyon next week.
The young Ajax side overwhelmed the French club and are now unbeaten in 13 European games, having won the last seven, the Uefa website said.
This is the first time Ajax has qualified for the semi-finals of the Europa League in 20 years and it is 21 years since they made a final in European competition.
Ajax have now not lost a home game in 20 matches.
