Toyota Industries buys Dutch logistics process firm for €1.2bn
Japanese car maker Toyota is paying €1.2bn for a Brabant company which makes conveyer-belt based airport baggage and parcel handling systems.
Vanderlande Industries, founded in 1949, is currently owned by NPM Capital. Based in Veghel, the company has a worldwide workforce of 4,500 at 50 locations. The company booked sales last year of around €1bn.
Toyota Industries expects to finalise the deal in the second quarter of this year, the two companies said in a statement.
