More people light up a Cuban cigar in the Netherlands
Handmade Cuban cigars are becoming more popular in the Netherlands, NU.nl reports.
Benelux importer Cubacigar, which imports well-known brands Cohiba, Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta, increased turnover by 5% last year to €20.3m, with sales up 25% in the Netherlands.
According to figures from the Trimbos Institute from 2015 some 4% of the 3.6 million Dutch smokers prefer cigars.
