Strong winds expected on Thursday on the Dutch coast
Winds of between 75 kph and 100 kph could hit parts of the Netherlands on Thursday evening, as autumn storms move in, according to weather forecaster Weeronline.
The unsettled weather, which will be worse in the west of the country, will continue into the weekend and may be coupled with thunder, lightning and hail, Weeronline said. Sunday will be particularly windy.
On Wednesday, it was an unseasonable 14 degrees in places but on Friday the temperature will go down to 9 degrees, which is normal for the time of year.
Weather forecaster KNMI also warns of strong gusting winds on Thursday but does not expect such high wind speeds over the weekend.
