We’re heading for a heatwave, in the south and east at least
The temperature is set to hit 29 degrees in southern parts of the Netherlands on Tuesday but will rise to a tropical 30 degrees over most of the country on Wednesday, weather forecasters say.
And with the high temperatures set to continue over the weekend, there could be an official heat wave in the south and east, weather bureau Weeronline said. The weather is officially classed as a heat wave if it tops 25 degrees for five days or more, and goes over 30 degrees on three of them.
The KNMI weather bureau is also forecasting 25 plus temperatures up to Sunday, but says the weather will be cooler with some rain again on Monday.
