Blue skies and tropical heat set to continue into the weekend
The surprise August heatwave is set to continue into the weekend, but there may be more cloud about and it could be windy on Friday.
Thursday is set to have blue skies and temperatures of up to 35 degrees as the period of high pressure continues.
There were traffic jams on several beach roads on Wednesday and the slow traffic continued well into the evening as people headed for the sea after work.
Weather forecasters say it turn cooler with some showers next week, with temperatures around 21 degrees. However, there will still be sunny periods, the KNMI said.
