More storms on their way: yet another severe weather warning in the south
The KNMI weather bureau on Thursday issued a code orange severe weather warning for Limburg and Noord-Brabant provinces, saying more heavy rain and wind is on the way.
The KNMI earlier issued a code yellow warning for the eastern half of the country, as storms move in again from Germany and Belgium.
At least five people have died in Germany in several days of severe weather, which has also caused flooding in parts of France and Belgium.
Tonight’s planned ’round Netherlands’ trip by a JSF fighter jet has been called off because of the weather forecast.
The fighter plane was due to tour the country at a height of around 400 metres but will not be properly visible, the airforce said.
