Race for the Eredivisie title heats up – PSV and Ajax neck and neck
With eight games to go this season, just one point separates Eredivisie leader PSV Eindhoven from Amsterdam’s Ajax, who in turn have a 23 point lead over third-placed Feyenoord and AZ.
Both clubs won this weekend. PSV beat Groningen 3-0 away while Ajax added to their goal total with a 4-0 win over Willem II. The two championship contenders meet in Eindhoven on March 20.
AZ too consolidated their third place with a 2-0 over Excelsior while Feyenoord continued their recovery with a crucial 3-1 win over Cambur.
