Win puts PSV Eindhoven back in Champions League running

The 2-0 home win makes up for their 2-0 loss against Wolfsburg at their previous meeting. PSV are now on six points from four games with two more to play.

‘Today we played with maturity and consistency,’ said coach Philip Cocu after the game. ‘It was a team achievement. We’re back in the hunt; this is an important win.’

Manchester United are top of group B with seven points and CSKA Moskva are bottom with four. PSV’s final games in the group stage take place on November 25 (Manchester United away) and December 8 (CSKA Moskva at home).
