Dutch Muslim organisations condemn ‘barbaric’ Paris attacks

mosque in the NetherlandsDutch Muslim organisations on Saturday condemned the terror attacks in Paris, describing them as ‘barbaric, cowardly and inhuman’.

A statement issued by the umbrella group CMO said the attacks, which have been claimed by Islamic terror group IS, were an attack on both French society and all humanity. ‘The Dutch Muslim community is grief-stricken and feels deeply for all the victims and the people of France,’ the statement said.

‘Let us remain alert and ensure these sick criminals do not drive us apart with their cowardly deeds,’ the Telegraaf quoted the statement as saying.

The Dutch Moroccan Mosque Association said it was deeply shocked by the attacks. ‘Islam teaches us that those who kill a man have killed all mankind,’ the RMMN said. ‘Our prayers and our thoughts are with all the victims and their relatives.’

‘We will continue to work with all Europeans who support democracy and the rule of law to combat violence and hatred, no matter who the messenger is.’
