The number of Dutch bankers earning a basic salary of over €1m is on the rise again, according to figures from the European banking authority EBA.
In 2013, the latest year for which figures are available, 32 Dutch bankers earned over €1m, the Financieele Dagblad says.
In 2010, there were 43. This dropped to 36 in 2011 and to 27 in 2012, the paper says.
The Netherlands is in the middle ranking for well-paid bankers, together with Denmark and Austria. The highest paid bankers are in Britain, followed by Germany and France.
