MPs concerned about continuing budget leaks
MPs are upset about the steady stream of pre-budget leaks and have written to prime minister Mark Rutte to express their concerns.
The cabinet is due to present its 2016 spending plans to parliament next Tuesday but much of the contents have already been made public.
MPs will be given a usb stick containing the budget documents on Friday afternoon on the condition they keep the information secret. However, media organisations have already gone public with some of the plans, based on leaked or draft documents.
Among the budget announcements which have leaked out so far are an increase in the tax on mineral water and fruit juice, an overhaul of the asset tax system and daycare places for all children, regardless of whether their parents work.
