Wandering spider on the loose in Rijnsburg

wandering spider kamspinA highly venomous wandering spider (Ctenidae) is on the loose in the Zuid-Holland town of Rijnsburg.

The creature was spotted in a bunch of flowers at flower auction Flora Holland on Tuesday and let go.

Spider experts were called in but have so far found no trace of the arachnid.

The spider is native to South and Middle America and a bite can cause death. However, Dutch hospitals have an antidote available, website nu.nl reports.
