Van Persie to Turkey; Pröpper joins PSV

football ballDutch striker Robin van Persie arrived in Istanbul on Sunday evening to take up his new job at Fenerbahçe.

The transfer of the 31-year-old from Manchester United comes after a disappointing season.

He was welcomed to Turkey by singing supporters and fireworks.

Van Persie, who is captain of the Dutch national team, played for Feyenoord and Arsenal before joining Manchester United.

Pröpper

Eindhoven club PSV reached agreement with Vitesse of Arnhem on Sunday for the transfer of midfielder Davy Pröpper. He replaces Georginio Wijnaldum who has moved to New Castle United for a reported €16m.

The 23-year-old Pröpper still has to undergo a medical at PSV and is currently with the Arnhem side at their training camp in Austria.
