Amsterdam house prices rise over 8% in one year

July 21, 2015

P1010505Dutch house prices continued to rise in June with the strongest rise – 8.1% – recorded in Amsterdam.

Nationwide, prices were up 2.6% on a year ago and are now up almost 5% on June 2013 when the bottom of the market was reached.

Nevertheless, house prices are still almost 18% down on their August 2008 peak, the CBS said.

Prices rose in all segments and in all provinces, but the lowest increase – just 0.7% – was recorded in Overijssel. In Utrecht, prices were up 5.3% on a year ago and in The Hague the increase was 4.3%.
