A woman has been trampled to death by cows on a farm in the Brabant village of Liempde.

Health and safety officials are now trying to establish what happened and police have not yet said if the woman worked on the farm or lived there.

However, local paper Brabants Dagblad said the woman helped her son who ran the farm and lived nearby.

In 2012, three people were killed by bulls on Dutch farms in two separate incidents.
