Refresco Gerber sets March 27 for stock exchange launch

orange juice bottlesRotterdam soft drink maker Refresco Gerber will list on the Amsterdam stock exchange on March 27 with shares priced at between €13 and €16, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

The aim of the IPO is to raise over €500 to fund the company’s expansion plans.

Refresco Gerber will issue new shares alongside the sale of between 40% and 50% of the shares owned by its current investors. These include private equity house 3i, a group of Icelandic investors, the current management team and the British family which owns the Gerber arm, which merged with Refresco in 2013.

The company, which was formed in 1999, booked turnover in the region of €2bn last year and operates 27 factories in nine countries. As well as soft drinks and fizzy drinks it produces fruit and vegetable juices.
