Dutch national arrested in France with amphetamines worth €1.5m
A Dutch national has been arrested in France with 105 kilos of amphetamines in his car, according to French media, quoted by news agency ANP.
The French papers say the drugs had a street value of €1.5m.
The man was arrested last week but the news has only just become public. He was arrested in the suburbs of Bordeaux after stopping at a motorway lay by, where he was checked by police. It is not clear from the report if this was a routine check or police were waiting for him.
The man has since been charged with trafficking and importing drugs.
