Stormy weather on the way, strong winds expected in coastal areas
Weather forecasters are predicting storm force winds in coastal areas on Friday, as blustery weather moves in from the north west.
The KNMI weather bureau has issued a code yellow weather warning for the entire country on Friday.
Although strong winds on Thursday evening will die down overnight, the KNMI expects winds of up to 90 kph in the west of the country on Friday. These winds will die down as the day progresses.
The weekend will also be wet and windy, the KNMI says.
