Construction group BAM to cut 650 jobs, 7% of workforce

Construction company BAM is cutting its workforce by 650 full time jobs as part of efforts to simply its organisation.

Most of the jobs will go next year and the focus will be on office staff, broadcaster Nos reported. BAM has some 9,700 salaried staff.

The company has been hit by problems at a number of large infrastructure projects and reported a first half loss of €6.6m.
