ING internet banking clients had to deal with more breakdowns and disruption than any other bank so far this year, according to website Allestoringen.nl.
The website says ING clients have experienced problems on 142 days, of which 18 were serious disruptions. In September alone, there have been three major issues.
‘Compared with last year, ING has had a 216% increase in system failures this year, compared with 2013,’ spokesman Tom Sanders said in a press release. ‘In practice, ING’s digital services break down every 15 days.’
Of the big four banks, SNS has only had 11 online service disruptions this year, the website said.
