Air France-KLM may delay Transavia plan because of strike

Air France-KLM has delayed its plans to turn its charter subsidiary Transavia into a price fighter for several months, news agency AFP says on Monday.

AFP says the decision has been taken to delay the project until December to give more time for negotiations with striking pilots.

The pilots are angry that the switch in emphasis towards Transavia will hit their pay and conditions agreements. The strike is said to be costing the airline €15m a day.

A news conference has been scheduled by the airline for later on Monday.
