Netherlands’ oldest inhabitant dies
The Netherlands’ oldest inhabitant, Egbertje Leutscher-De Vries, has died at the age of 111.
She was born in 1902 in the village of Uffelte in Drente province and spent the last 12 years of her life in a care home.
According to local broadcaster RTV Drenthe, Leutscher-De Vries believed the boiled egg she always had for breakfast was the secret of her long life.
She has donated her brain to science.
