Government to focus on job creation by cutting labour taxes

The government is planning to cut the tax on labour after the summer in an effort to drive up job creation, the Financieele Dagblad says on Tuesday.

All treasury windfalls will be used to cut taxes and boost employment, the paper says, quoting sources close to the cabinet.

In particular, ministers want to make it cheaper and easier for employers to take on more staff, the sources said.

The government’s ‘plan of attack’ is now being worked out in detail, the paper says.
