Dutch girls missing in Panama: rucksack found with their phones
The search for two young Dutch women who disappeared in Panama on April 1 took a new turn this weekend with the discovery of a rucksack containing some of their possessions.
Dutch detectives flew out to Panama on Sunday after a local found the bag containing two mobile phones, two bras, a digital camera and money in a jungle stream.
No trace had been found of Lisanne Froon (22) and Kris Kremers (21) since they vanished while heading off for a walk.
Detectives hope the phones in particular will provide crucial information about the girls’ last movements.
The rucksack was found eight hours from where the girls were last seen. It is not yet clear if the rucksack belonged to them.
