Dutch Eurovision entry duo ready for semi-finals
The Dutch entry to the Eurovision Song Contest will take ninth place in Tuesday evening’s semi-final, according to online betting site Unibet.
The song Calm After The Storm, performed by the duo The Common Linnets made up of country singer Ilse de Lange and Dutch Motown signing Waylon, compete against 16 other countries in the first of the semi-finals. The top 10 in each heat qualify for the final on May 10.
If the country-bluegrass number does go on to the final, Unibet says it will come in at 19th, the Volkskrant reports.
The Tuesday semi-final begins at 21.00 on Nederland 1.
