One in five women earns more than her male partner
One in five Dutch women now earns more than her husband or partner, compared with 13% in 2002, the national statistics office CBS says.
The figures date from 2012 and are significant because most Dutch women work part-time. Three out of 10 women under the age of 30 and without children are now a main earner, the CBS says.
Just one in five Dutch women works more than 35 hours a week and 48% are not considered to be financially independent.
