The fishermen of Urk returned to work on Tuesday morning, following a nine-day strike about low prices for plaice and sole.

The fishermen, who claimed they were being offered less the cost price for the fish, have now reached an agreement on quotas and price with wholesalers, the Volkskrant reports.

Their colleagues in the province of Zeeland, who joined the strike last weekend, say they will continue their action for better prices.
