PEC Zwolle reaches final of the KNVB Cup
Football club PEC Zwolle reached the final of the KNVB Cup on Wednesday night with a 2-1 win over NEC of Nijmegen.
Maikel van der Werff scored the winning goal 10 minutes from time after a major blunder by NEC’s keeper Dennis Gentenaar.
PEC Zwolle last reached the final in 1977. Their opponent will be the winner of Thursday night’s duel between Ajax and AZ of Alkmaar.
The final takes place in Rotterdam’s Kuip stadium on April 20.
