Exports down slightly as trade outside the EU declines
The value of Dutch exports was down by €1.3bn last year, the national statistics office CBS said on Friday.
In total, the value of exports reached €428bn, of which 75% went to other EU countries, a slight rise on 2012. Exports are one of the main motors of the Dutch economy.
Imports were also down by €5bn at €384bn. This was also due to fewer imports from non-EU countries, the Financieele Dagblad quoted the CBS as saying.
