Rijksmuseum welcomes two millionth visitor

The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam on Tuesday welcomed its two millionth visitor since its reopening on April 13 this year.

The lucky visitor, who was greeted by director Wim Pijbes bearing flowers and a goody bag of items from the museum shop, was an Israeli on the last day of her holiday.

Since the reopening, the Rijsmuseum has been receiving between 7,000 and 10,000 visitors every day.
